The Dark Knight possesses the essence that should always exist in the handover from comics to the big screen. Sequence after sequence, this is the absolute glory. I am a "late-bloomer" when it comes to post-punk, new wave, synth-pop and brit-pop. I was too busy raising a family, working, and moving during the 80's to really appreciate what was going on. So, I narrowed my scope to the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and David Bowie (a little Roxy Music thrown in for fun) and waited another 15 years to be hit upside the head with a whole delicious era that I had missed.

Now, I can't get enough. And, my blog has become my outlet for my (very late) "discoveries."

All the best to you!Miss Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17132274121877319388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16739256.post-69130607183908553932008-07-26T19:31:00.000-05:002008-07-26T19:31:00.000-05:00Very nice review here. Rhino Records put out some great compilation albums.

If you're at all a Britpop fan from the 80's and 90's, you might want to also check out "The Brit Box: U.K. Indie, Shoegaze, and Brit-Pop Gems of the Last Millennium".

By the way, I would SO love to listen to that 300 album record collection. Already he has listed a few I haven't seen, but it strikes me that there are way more than 100 films out there - at least pre-1967- that would be fairly conservative and non-modern day PC. Even though we live in a town of 100,000 people drive to Springs for their shopping b/c Pueblo has nothing to offer! These are people from Garden City telling us that! People even drive the 40+ miles for church, movies (we don’t have an Imax), concerts, and the like. We are always asked if we still like living in Pueblo and my response is that if there is a good coffee shop, grocery store, and a couple of friends then there’s nothing else I need.Ryan Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03440702805073165451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16739256.post-35511877827045536662007-05-09T11:02:00.000-05:002007-05-09T11:02:00.000-05:00Sorry this is unrelated to this post.
